My Beloved Lecturer



MISS MASYURA AHMAD FAUDZI

Every student has their own favorite lecturer on their university or college. My self also has  my own favorite lecturer and which is my own advisor at my university. Her name is Masyura Bt. Ahmad Faudzi and she was born at Teluk Intan, Perak. Besides that, she is my lecture for subject Introduction to Computer Graphics (CGMB 214) and the subject is about doing the graphic by using the coding (cprogramming).

In fact, she is an ex-student UNITEN before this to while doing her Degree in Information Technology, she furthers her Masters at University of Bristol, UK in M Sc. Advanced Computing (Global Multimedia) and she will further studies in  PhD soon.  In UNITEN, she is in department Graphics and Multimedia and which is my department too.

Characteristic that had in herself that she is very cool person, calm, enjoy, helpful and the best part is she always help the student in study. She does not like to fail the student and about marking paper she trying to give us as good mark as she can give.  Miss Masyura, always concern about their student also about the attendance student. I still remember when I fell sick and I tell her that I cannot go to the class today and she said that “that’s ok and take care of your self carefully”, the feeling that I feel that time is very happy and comfort with her because she understand me and she really helpful persons.

Accommodation for Female Student



ILMU APARTMENT 


Ilmu apartment was the first apartment also known as the oldest apartment that been build before the Murni apartment, Cendikiawan apartment and Amanah apartment. Ilmu apartment consist of 6 blocks, which is 4 blocks for twin shared room and 2 block for single room. Besides that, the name of the block is I1, I2, I3, I4, I5 and I6 also each block has 3 floors and there no lift provided in Ilmu apartment. The twin shared room had 2 room, 1 balcony, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom (+toilet) and 1 living room. In addition, for the single room have 4 single room, 1 big bathroom (+toilet), 1 kitchen, 1balcony and 1living room.

The facilities that had around Ilmu apartment is Residence Hotel, UNITEN Mosque, UPTEN(UNITEN food court); groceries shops, College of Engineering (COE), College of Information Technology (COIT) and also Dewan Sri Sarjana (DSS).  With all this facilities, student prefer more to living at Ilmu apartment because there’s have a lot of advantage for student.



MURNI APARTMENT 


Single Student Apartment
UNITEN hostel are calling as apartment which is the apartment look likes home. Murni apartment is suitable with student who that loves the clam and quite surrounding. Murni had 2 blocks and 10 floor each of the block. Besides that, he view from the apartment is viewing the university and highway. Murni apartment near to College of Engineering (COE), COE food court, Admin Building (BA) and Residence Hotel.

However each house in Murni apartment has 4 single rooms, 1 bathroom, 1 toilet, living room, 4 study table, complete kitchen and balcony. Each block Murni apartment has warden who will guard and help student if they get any problem about their house. The Murni apartment sticker parking is limited for each parking lot in the apartment area. The parking sticker only for student degree who can apply without duration study at our university and for foundation student must wait for their 1 year study at UNITEN.

Married Student Apartment
This apartment has been build is to make easy for married student to stay near campus and our university had a lot of international student who that married and this is also a good facilities to them. Besides that, the apartment is build next to Single Student Apartment which is located on the Murni apartment area to. In UNITEN, on Murni apartment has Married Student Apartment and this apartment is limited for student to apply.

In addition, the Married Student Apartment has one double bed, one single bed, kitchen cabinet, a sofa set, a dining table, a shoe rack and a cupboard. The tenants are also allowed to add additional equipment in the apartment such as air-conditioning system and water heater with no extra charges. Student also can bring freezer, television and anything that needed for home.

RESIDENCE HOTEL At Universiti Tenaga Nasional




On 18th June 1993, for the first Residence Hotel was registered as Residence Hotel Management is to provide the hotel industry with much needed management services. In addition, there have three branch which is at Residence Hotel & Resort Paka (Terennganu), Residence Hotel at University Tenaga Nasional (Kajang) and  Residence Hotel Desa Lagoon Resort (Port Dickson).

Residence Hotel at University Tenaga Nasional was build inside our university it is because easy for people to rest and stay long at UNITEN. This hotel is the most valuable facilities for student and their parent besides other company stay and having the seminar. Students parent that who living far away from Selangor, they can stay here how long they need.

Students parents that who booking the hotel room at Residence Hotel because UNITEN having the convocation day, registration day for a new student, open day UNITEN and others. My advice, parent must book the hotel room early 2weeks from the day they want to stay. The causes is, Residence Hotel always full booking if UNITEN have any event.

At our university, not only local student parent that who stay in this hotel besides we also have international student. This is one of the most precious facilities for them to make their parent easy to stay closed with them. In fact, it also make them easy by not to stay outside especially for parent that not familiar with Malaysia yet. Besides that, the hotel is easily accessible to government and commercial centers. It is just a 25 minutes’ drive from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Sepang and 10 minutes from Putrajaya.

Resident Hotel at UNITEN, located very strategic place which is near to mosque, lake view, students apartment, student college, food court (UPTEN)  and near to back guard gate that make outsider easy to find the hotel.

Dean's List Student Award

Dean’s list award is one of dream for all students in this world. This award will be awarded to students who achieve the Grade Point Average (GPA) pointer grade from 3.50 and above. This honors the academic accomplishments of our university undergraduate students each term by awarding placement on the Dean’s List award.

These awards are given at the end of each term and are not recalculated based on grade changes or the removal of incomplete grades. The award will accredit through a letter from the respective dean’s office and with a notation on the student’s academic transcript.

Dean’s list awards are one of important things that student needs for applying future career instead not only the co-curricular award that they need. This award will approve that the student is qualified and can give the great quality and can give the great quality for being an employee. Studying at University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), is one of the most outstanding university with the popular programme, with the student quality and this university is under TNB

The condition for student who wants to be awarded as Dean’s list:-
Ø    Obtains a Grade Point Average (GPA) 3.50 and above
Ø    Has grades of not than C in any subjects taken during that semester
Ø    Carries a work load of at least 12 credit hours and above will be
       included in the Dean’s list in that following semesters.

College of Foundation & General Studies.



College of Foundation and General Studies, it has been launched on 1 April 2011. The College of Foundation and General Studies consists of 3 distinct departments at University Tenaga Nasional, Putrajaya Campus. They are the Department of Science, Mathematics & Technology, Department of Languages and Communication and Department of Social Sciences.

The objective is to prepare the pathway for students into the various bachelors degree programmes offered in the university. Since June 2003, Universiti Tenaga Nasional has been accepting student that qualified Sijil Penilaian Malaysia (SPM) and it equivalent to apply further studies, into a one-year Foundation programme. 

Students who complete the Foundation programme successfully will be able to further studies in the Degree (Honours) programmes at University Tenaga Nasional also they can further studies other universities in Malaysia or aboard. The Foundation programmes provide an a  of disciplines that need as the main condition for students entrance into UNITEN instead of the qualification.


Besides that, during foundation is the time for them to be independent and learn to study with different environment compare their school life. In addition,  these foundation studies will teach and train our student to be confident in their self being a good student, good leader, good worker and for future life.

Department of Science, Mathematics & Technology


            This department offer courses in fundamental sciences and mathematics to students of the College of Foundation and General Studies. However, these course in mathematics, physics and chemistry are develop to make the students are complete with knowledge of science and mathematics foundations before they can proceed to their degree programs.
            In addition, the department offers 11 mathematics, 7 physics and 3 chemistry courses. Most of the courses offered are develop to help engineering, computer science information technology students is to make them ready for that knowledge at their future degree programmes. The purpose is to prepare themselves for more advance courses in engineering, computer science and information technology at degree programmes in future.
            The department has three physics and two chemistry laboratories. All the laboratories are air-conditioned and equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment. Laboratory classes are conducted either by lectures themselves or tutors who are closely supervised by the lecturers. In addition, the department has two research laboratories and on computing laboratory for lectures, postgraduate student and final year engineering students to conduct various research activities related to science and mathematics disciplines. 

Department of Languages and Communication


Offers English courses which are designed to develop overall English proficiency as well as to develop other skills important for communication. These include public speaking skills, presentation skills and writing skills required for academic purposes as well as those required on the job. The courses also expose students to critical reading and thinking skills through class readings, discussions and group project. Apart from language and communication courses, the department also offers several other international language courses such as Mandarin, Japanese, Arabic, French and German. The foreign language class is offered to Degree students who may wish to acquire another language to boost their chances of employability. 
Department of Social Science


Focuses on the developments in the field of social sciences for University Tenaga Nasional students. The courses offered by Department are compulsory LAN subject and student select them based on their interests. Among the subjects are Malaysian Studies, Moral Studies and also other preferred subjects for example Leadership and Entrepreneurship, Comparative Religion. The courses are capable of empowering students with knowledge and benefits after their graduation especially on current issues and global requirements, in addition, the department also conducts various short-term courses annually such as counseling as well as staff and student motivation courses.

            As a progressive Department, a Social Science seminar programme is conducted by the department annually to engage experts in the field for discussions in dialogues which are attended by students and invited lecturers from local and abroad.
